The 7 ancient wonders were destroyed due to various reasons and now only one structure remains. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the only remaining structure among the 7 ancient wonders.

Many pyramids were seen throughout Egypt during that period. So far, more than 100 ancient pyramids have been found in Egypt. The stories related to these pyramids are also very impressive. Starting with the Great Pyramid of Giza, pyramids all over Egypt bear witness to those stories. Some are still a mystery today.

This article focuses on the theories that have arisen about the Pyramids of Ukhta and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The first pyramid

In ancient Egypt, people believed that there were hundreds of gods. They showed great devotion and respect to those gods. Because of this, they always made their affairs God-based. A person with the ability to mediate with those gods and people became the ruler of Egypt. Pharaoh was the name by which those kings were called. Pharaoh was actually a position in ancient Egypt.

According to the existing evidence, the oldest pyramid found is the Pyramid of Djoser, built by King Djoser, who was a pharaoh. It is believed that this pyramid was built between 2670 and 2650 BC. It was because of this pyramid built by a designer named Imhotef that he became a god among the Egyptians after his death. It is also known as the "Step Pyramid" because the pyramid takes the form of a staircase.

This Pyramid of Djoser, which was created using about 40,000 pieces of limestone, is 62.6 meters high. When observing these pyramids in Egypt, it is clear that the attention of the subsequent Pharaohs was also focused on the construction of these pyramids started by King Djoser. Due to this, hundreds of pyramids were created throughout Egypt.

Why were the pyramids created?

Different archaeologists have expressed different opinions in this regard. In particular, they worked to reach different conclusions through years of tests and reading of symbols. According to those conclusions, why were the pyramids created? Several answers can be observed at present. Ancient Egyptians believed in life after death. According to their beliefs, another character called "Ka" lives in the body. After death, the person who dies can continue to live in that "ka" form.

They believed that after death the person would be taken to Osiris, the god of death. There, the god of death decides whether the person can continue to live under the name of "ka" or whether he will die completely. There are theories that the pyramids are used as tombs for the Pharaohs to come back using the character "Ka" and to use them after their return.

Another one among those opinions is that Pharaoh had a great responsibility for the rising of the sun at that time. According to that responsibility, the Pharaoh who reigned at that time was assigned the responsibility of raising the noon sun. When the king did the work of sunrise in the morning, the previous king Pharaoh was responsible for sending the sun to the evening. There is also an opinion that their bodies were buried in the pyramids to give strength to the king who had died before.

How were these pyramids built?

It can be seen how there are many different ideologies regarding the construction of the pyramids. There are some parties who strongly oppose the opinions presented by archaeologists in this regard. Herodotus, a Greek historian, stated that these pyramids were built using slaves. Current evidence proves that claim to be false.

These pyramids are located along the Nile River. Villages where the people who built those pyramids lived have been found near the river. According to the inscriptions and other archaeological factors, it was confirmed that those people had good food and shelter.

Because of this, it is believed that the pyramids were not built by slaves, but by Egyptians who wanted to pay respect to their dying pharaoh. It is also said with evidence that the stones needed to build them were brought up the Nile from different parts of the country.

Archaeologists are of the opinion that the stones were polished and transported up through a separate road to the pyramid. Many people argue that it is not possible to use such a road to carry those stones up. Another archeological opinion is that this great stone pyramid was brought up using water, which is also a widely disputed opinion. Due to this, there are many different ideologies, but there are many counterarguments to them.

Some people argue that extraterrestrials have influenced the construction of these pyramids. The reason for that is the size of the stones and the geometric correctness of the pyramids. Those who hold that view argue that they are seen by various unidentified aircraft-like objects in certain characters. However, archaeologists do not believe that extraterrestrials helped to build the pyramids.

The Great Pyramids of Giza

Among the pyramids located in Egypt, the pyramids of Giza are more special. Among these, the huge Khufu Pyramid still holds many secrets. This pyramid, which is believed to have been created about 4500 years ago, managed to survive many earthquakes. Among them, the Khufu Pyramid was able to survive even in earthquakes exceeding 8 on the Richter scale. It is noteworthy that only the Pyramids of Giza remain, while 6 of the 7 ancient wonders have been destroyed.

About 2 million stone blocks have been spent to build this great pyramid. One rock weighs between 3 and 7 tons. Some of them stretch up to a weight of about 10 tons. In this pyramid, you can see 3 rooms and you can see a road connecting these rooms. The fact that the walls inside the pyramid were designed exactly at 90 degrees surprised many people. Even the world's number 1 architects say that even with today's technology, this design is difficult.

At first glance, it seems to consist of 4 sides, but the Ukta pyramid consists of 8 sides. The reason for this is that it is designed with a subtle curve on one side. Creating it like this is more difficult than the normal form. There are only two days a year when all eight sides of this pyramid can be seen. For two days a year, the sun moves exactly across the Earth's equator. It is special to see all the eight sides of the pyramid only in these two days.

Evidence has been found that this pyramid with 2.3 million tons of rock blocks was built in a period of 20-27 years. In order to complete the construction of the pyramid in that time, one stone should be inserted into the pyramid at least every two minutes. This is a very controversial issue.

Is modern technology also impossible?

By the year 1960, the overflowing of the Nile River and the need to build a dam as a solution, it was necessary to move the church called Abu Simbel, which is located in Egypt itself. There were about 2000 stone blocks in this church. It took 5 years to carry these rocks. 42 million US dollars have been spent on it. Thus, if it took 5 years to transport 2000 rocks using modern technology, 2.3 million rocks took 20-27 years to be processed correctly, and many questions were raised regarding the method used.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is carefully located towards the north. Even the buildings that were tried to be designed in this way in the 17th century were not able to be designed correctly facing the north. When the height of the pyramid is exactly divided by two, the height between the top room and the roof will be the same. When the height of the pyramid is divided by 5, the height between the inner room and the pyramid is the same. When its height is divided by 7, the position of the second room and the base of the pyramid coincide with each other.

No cement was used to create these pyramids. But they are designed so smoothly that it is impossible to send a small blade out of them. For this reason as well as for mathematical accuracy, one can see how engineers claim that these are created using machines. For reasons like these, the question of how the pyramids were created has not yet been properly resolved.

Egypt's sensitive pyramids

These pyramid topics have become extremely sensitive issues for Egypt today. Why were these pyramids created? The Egyptians are not very interested in whether the construction of the pyramids was supported by another supernatural force. It is a well-known fact that the reason for this was that these existed in the minds of the Egyptians as a design that created their nation.

It is for these reasons that it is right to say that no opportunity has been created in Egypt to explore the pyramids. However, an opinion has been created that these pyramids were created after so much effort and so much time, not only to bury the bodies of the Pharaohs.

However, it is impossible to claim that 100% of the opinions regarding the pyramids are true. The pyramids of Egypt are among the problems that are still difficult to solve all over the world.
